Guru Nanak Dev Ji 550th Gurupurab was on November 12 2019
In honour of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th Gurupurab (birthday) and based on the principles of giving and sharing, the Shan-e-Punjab Dance School asked students to bring a toy, to donate to other children who are unable to afford one, on November 24 2019. The toy could be used but in excellent condition or a purchased one within a families budget. On November 29 2019 9 boxes of toys were accumulated and delivered to Paula and Christine of the Cridge Centre for the Family. They were very grateful on behalf of the center, which supports families of all nationalities. We sincerely thank all the students and their families for participating in this initiative, learning about Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s universal philosophy, and giving to others who are less fortunate. This is the greatest gift we can give, toys are meant to be played with, all children deserve to be happy.
